Benefits of the Hide-A-Hose Inlet
Hide-A-Hose is a great option for homes with hardwood and tile!
A Hide-A-Hose is a stand-alone hose that is
free flowing and unattached inside of a decidated
piece of PVC inside of your wall.
The suction of the vacuum pulls the hose back to
its stored postion when you are done using it.
What this means for you is no more carrying the
hose from inlet to inlet.
Plus, the Hide-A-Hose comes in longer lengths,
so you have more reach than a traditional 30 foot long hose.
Since the Hide-A-Hose is ideal for floorplans
with little to no carpeting, we specialize in
installing a hybrid system, with both Hide-A-Hose inlets
and the traditional electrical (30' hose) inlets.
For example:
Your new home will have all hardwood and tile on the main level.
You will also have plush carpeting in the bedrooms.
You also have furry pets.
Your options would be as follows:
A traditional system, with inlets placed every 600 feet.
You will carry the hose around the house, from inlet to inlet.
This traditional system will have an electrical beater bar for
getting all your carpeting clean.
You will have a floor tool for hardwood and tile, like pictured on the right.
A mixture of Hide-A-Hoses and traditional inlets.
You will have the convenience of the retractable hose
without an electrical beater-bar) in your areas
that are not carpeted (or have area rugs).
You will have the carpet cleaning power of
the electrical powerhead in the bedrooms.
The Hide-A-Hose has a larger reach than the 30' hoses,
up to 2,000 square feet of cleaning power with one Hide-A-Hose inlet.
Keep the 30' hose and powerhead for cleaning carpet in a bedroom closet.
Use the retractable hose in the main living area
and only have to carry around the black handle and cleaning accessory.
The third option would be an all Hide-A-Hose system.
While the Hide-A-Hose system has a powerhead,
with a beater bar, it is not powered by electricity.
This light duty powerhead works fine on area rugs,
and carpeted areas that do not see a lot of debris.
The pet hair might be a reason to choose the
a hybrid (mixed) system of both Hide-A-Hose inlets and electrical inlets instead.
When would you put all Hide-A-Hose inlet into a home?
The Hide-A-Hose inlet does not have electricity,
so the beaterbar associated with its powerhead (
TurboCat)
is turbine (air-driven).
You would use all Hide-A-Hose inlets when you have little to no carpeting.
Area rugs do well with a Hide-A-Hose system.
If you have little to no carpeting,
AND you have pets,
you'll LOVE the Hide-A-Hose.
Nothing beats cleaning up all those hairy dust bunnies,
like a floor tool and a Hide-A-Hose.
Don't sweep the dirt into the air,
pushing it all around on the floor.
Run the floor tool over your home's hardwood, laminate, and tile,
and remove the dust, pet hair, and dander instantly.
(
We even use the suction-only floor tool to clean our area rugs.)
When would you put all traditional inlets in your home?
If you have all of the floor covered in wall to wall carpet,
in particular a home with furry pets,
you would be best served by a system with an electrical beater bar.
An electrical beater bar will keep all your carpeting clean,
and remove all the pet dander and hair.
This is the system with the 30' hose and traditional inlets.
If you have a mixture of hardwood and carpet in your home,
a combination of traditional inlets and Hide-A-Hose inlets is ideal.
The good news is: This equipment works together!
Keep in mind, these inlets use a central vacuum,
the most powerful and efficient way to clear your home.
Dust, sweep, vacuum, knowing that your central vacuum
has superior cleaning power, because its motors
are two to three times larger than any portable vacuum on the market.
