The Hide-A-Hose Rapid Flex Hose is scuf proof, light weight, free floating and adaptable to older Hide-A-Hose inlets. The rapid Flex Hose is low mainrenance. It does not connect to a retracting devie. It is free-floating in a dedicated piece of PVC. The hose is not attached to a retracting device, it is attached to nothing (no retracting device inside the wall - the vacuum pulls the house). You pull out as much as you need to clean. Lock it own. Attach your cleaning tools. When done retract the hose back into its PVC.
The Hide a hose inlet allows a 50' hose to be stored in the wall. It is removed by you, but retracted by the vacuum. There is NO retracting device in the wall. Nothing to break inside the wall. The central vacuum retracts 30, 04, 50 or 60' Hide-A-Hose.
The larger the home, the more you will want to look at higher water lift machines. CFM is important for effective cleaning, but a Hide-A-Hose value to pull long hoses in.
