The hose is stored in the wall. Pull out as much as you need. Retract the hose back into the wall when finished.

Troubleshoot My Hide-A-Hose

We are the biggest Hide‑A‑Hose (HAH) dealer on the Rocky Mountain Front Range. There are a lot of very happy HAH owners out there. Sometimes you need a little bit of troubleshooting.

Remember that the Hide-A-Hose is a closed system. Every place you have an opening reduces your suction.

Close as many open devices as you can when troubleshooting for low suction. Sometimes you have to take a hose entirely out of the inlet to get the door closed. (This is a temporary thing.)

Hoses can be taken completely out of the retractable inlet. The hose is not attached to anything. One by one, leaving only one inlet open at a time, suck the hoses back into the wall.

Sometimes you have to reconnect your remote controlled devices. If your handle does not turn on the vacuum, hold the sender (handle) button down while pointing the handle at the receiver. The receiver is a black plastic rectangle, around the size of a deck of cards. It is attached to the vacuum unit. They should sink to each other.

The battery in the handle can be replaced. Point the business end of the handle at your face to see the battery. Make sure you look at expiration date when purchasing batteries.

Where you turn on the vacuum unit is where you turn off the vacuum unit. Each inlet has a switch and your remote handle has a switch. You cannot turn off the vacuum unit with any other switch but the one you used to turn it on. Don't worry, you will do this one occasionally.

If you lose the cap/ring on the far end of your Hide-A-Hose it may be glued back on. The part is being pulled on for thousands of hours. This makes it near impossible to keep it on there permenently.

Good news is you won't lose your hose into the pipe. The closest hose end has a larger end and stops the hose from retracting too much. If you have a HAH with a sock, you will need to glue the ring/cap back on. Epoxy works well. Don't fret this one, it takes a while for the suction to pull this cap/ring off. If you have a rapid flex hose, the missing ring/cap won't make that much difference.

Rapid Flex Hose
Come 30', 40', 50', and 60' in length!

The Hide‑A‑Hose Rapid Flex Hose is scuff proof, light weight, low maintenance, free floating, and adaptable to older Hide‑A‑Hose inlets.

There is no retracting device in the wall with the Hide‑A‑Hose. The hose floats inside the wall; the central vacuum pulls sucks it into the wall.

Pull out as much hose as you need. When you are finished, the Rapid Flex Hose will take mere second to stow your hose.

We answer the phone; we come to you!

Arapahoe Central Vacuum repairs every central vacuum existing.
